Billy Taylor, Alex Mason, Barry Hayes. Kindred spirits, adventurers, but very ordinary people. Between them they have rowed across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, crossed continents by foot, by bike, by motorcar. They’ve climbed some of the world’s highest peaks and have found themselves many times in places where the closest humans to them are the astronauts on the international space station. But they all started in the same place; regular humans, whose eyes would spark fire at the mere mention of adventure.

Transforming that spark into real life full blown adventure was normally far more difficult than the adventures themselves – where to gain information? What kit would be required? What route to take? what dangers to look out for? Who to go with? Painstaking hours spent gleaning the merest glimpse of information about a subject. If only there was a community that connected adventurers and lovers of the outdoors with each other; from the most extreme endurance athletes, to the casual day trippers.

Monkey Fist Adventures was born.
